Dr. Steven Bradbury will discuss research related to monarch conservation in Iowa.  Bradbury is a professor of Environmental Toxicology in the Departments of Natural Resource Ecology and Management and Entomology at Iowa State University.  

Wren Almitra, Women, Land & Legacy Coordinator, and Tanya Meyer-Dideriksen, NRCS Area Easement Specialist, will discuss the Women, Land & Legacy project on April 20 at 1 p.m.

Dr. Matt Helmers will explore some of the misconceptions about drainage and water quality and will touch on drainage practices that you might hear about more in the future such as drainage water recycling.

Building A Culture of Conservation is the theme for the July webinar from Iowa Learning Farms. Dr. Jacqueline Comito and Ann Staudt will showcase some significant ways that the Iowa Learning Farms and Water Rocks! programs have been educating Iowans of all ages about water quality and conservation issues over the past year. 

Liz Juchems will discuss the economic value of cover crops on March 16th at 1:00 p.m.

The Water Rocks! team came home with 15 awards at the 23rd Annual Iowa Motion Picture Association (IMPA) award ceremony, held on March 29 in Burlington, Iowa.

Water Rocks!, Iowa State University’s youth water education program, received an Iowa Environmental Excellence Award for Environmental Education this fall at the State Capitol in Des Moines.

The Iowa Learning Farms’ (ILF) monthly webinar, will be on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 11:30 a.m., and features the new statewide youth campaign “Water Rocks!” Campaign director Jacqueline Comito and science director Ann Staudt will showcase Water Rocks! and its components.
